Skimz Which one is better? or both are rather similar in term of performance, maintenance and setup?

SRC Member shootsimon Posted December 15, 2006 SRC Member Share Posted December 15, 2006 If you are going run ozone in your tank, I suggest its best that the FR you are getting is ozone save especially the rubber parts

SRC Member shootsimon Posted December 15, 2006 SRC Member Share Posted December 15, 2006 That you'll have to find out from the LFS when choosing your FR. They should be able to advise you on that.
acontia
what's O3 got to do with those FR??? why would u need an O3 proof FR when running O3??? my FR preference would be those from RM.

If you ever use those thermometer with those black suction holders you'll know what I mean. shootsimon u've got to be kidding right?? i have been running 300mg/hr O3 on my beckett skimmer for a very long time, and the O-ring's are it's still good, though u get some black goo when u rub on it. but to worry about O3 for your FR in my opinion is a waste of time and bad advice, u should know what u're talking about B4 start advicing others/reefers. it's a shame to post things that u think u heard from someone there or was it from those during which ever time, that u don't even remember u thought u knew..... eerrr was it the other way round...opps forgotten...oh..well...i think i know anyway. cheers
acontia
ohh why would i ever want to use those thermometer with those cheapo suction cup. i don't trust a $1.50 thermometer in the first place. it's not the rubber suckers u should be worried about it's the thermometer. if u do go check out cheapo thermometer ( i know u do) take a few of them and compare all the temperatures.... they'll all give different readings. well... u might/should pick out the pc with the lowers reading cuz i'm sure it's gonna make u feel better about your tanks temperature.
