SRC Member TanGo Posted December 15, 2002 SRC Member Share Posted December 15, 2002 That's why those lighter LRs (Hollow inside big pieces) are sold more expensive.. The heavier types normally are sold below $10 a kg.

SRC Member clowntrigger Posted December 16, 2002 SRC Member Share Posted December 16, 2002 loonz, please explain what you mean by aquacultured LR? First time I heard of it, thanks.
SRC Member loonz Posted December 16, 2002 SRC Member Share Posted December 16, 2002 Meaning you use plain rock and place it together with actual rocks taken from the sea...after some time the "seeded" rocks become encrusted with coraline as well as bacteria, sponges, etc...and becomes aquacultured live rock.
