The Blue Reef Chromis is one of the few peaceful Damsels available to the hobbyists. These fish do well when kept in groups or singly and are very easy to care for. They are brilliant blue with black markings along back and nape. The tail is deeply forked with black borders. They are found at shallow reefs or around reef rubble. These fish do very well in the home aquarium and are perfect for reef tanks.

The family of Damselfish are distinguised by their perch-like profiles, continious dorsal fin, forked or lunate tail, and energetic behavior. These fish are undeterred even by the largest predator.
