Hi.

I currently have 1 sailfin, 1 blue tang, one yellow eyed kole tang, a pair of clowns, one 6-line wrasse and cleaner goby. Thinking of adding some more small fishes.

What can I consider???

Anyone that can suggest? Me running a 4 feet LPS tank...

Hey bro, six-line wrasse will pose a prob to ur addition of small fishes man.

Anthias is a good choice for reef tank and they are safe and good looking.

But the prob is that the six-line wrasse may haunt them until they died man... :(

Either u play with ur new small additional lives and hope they will survive, or u can try to catch the six-line wrasse and sell it away.

There are many other beautiful wrasses around the place and some are more peaceful. :D

Or else u can add the six-line as the last addition to ur tank.

adding in new fishes and hope they can survive is cruelty and is irresponsible.

I dun recommend this. and many ppl do it out of laziness.

There are also a lot of gobies which are very nice. u can try to add a shrimp goby.

If u can get a pistol shrimp, they are fascinating to watch. :D

Cardinal is also very nice addition as they will swim in a group.

If u dun have inverts, u can consider trevaily, small grouper or hawkfish.

And it depends on ur tank.

Trevaily is really beautiful in a school when they are small. The only problem is when they are big as they can grow to a very big size like those u see in underwater world.

hawkfish is also an interesting addition. Many reefers like to keep one in their tank too.

a small grouper is also nice but the same problem is that they grow very big and also they are very fierce and may caused a prob to future additions.

my 2cents worth here and good luck in ur additions.

Cheers. hope to see u sharing abt ur new addition here soon.

till then, have a nice fishy day.

Agreed that 6-line wrasse may pose a problem... recently added a 6-line into my existing tank with a axil hogfish...

but next day i couldnt find hogfish... in the end found that it was wounded by this wrasse that keeps disturbing it... luckily i managed to fish out the hogfish and now its under medication to treat the wounds on its body... *sigh*.

Thought the wrasse is a peaceful fish.

Any question to ask bro is currently i also got a maroon clownfish which is also very territorial... how can i introduce anothe nemo type of fish?

Thx.

hahaha...no prob. maroon clownfish ar ?

The size of it ? And wat nemo u adding in ?

Normally two diff. nemo will find it hard to live together unless u have a big tank which allow each to have their own territory.

But judging from ur 6-line situation, I doubt that as a possibility. Hhaha..

If there is anemone in ur tank, it will be even worse. Ur new nemo will most likely died.

If u intro a new nemo which is bigger, it will chase ur maroon away.

And if u intro a small nemo, it will be chased. :o

I gave away my maroon to the LFS in exchange for a damsel in the end.

And Maroon clown is the most aggressive clown around.

Hope that this can help. :)

Agreed that with an anemone in the tank it will make matters worse... before the maroon was very peaceful till the day i got an anemone for it... :(

Now it becomes even more territorial...trying to guard its home...haha

I am trying to add either another maroon clownfish or the Ocellaris Clown.

But looks like its kinda difficult having two maroons in a tank.

 YUP. clownfish will guard their territory.

Dun recommend getting another maroon or clownfish.

Maroon is always a bad choice if u intend to have a few clowns. :(

I hope piero dun mind that the topic is a bit off..hahahaha...

And also good luck to you guys with the new addition.

I am looking to add in one PBT soon. hope to find one small or medium one. hahaha. :D

Dun like big fishes. going shopping tomolo.

Yup agree too, don't get another clown. It will kill it. Even if the new addition is larger in size, there will still be a high risk that it will die.

Bro piero, since you are keeping a LPS tank, I would also recommend anthias as your new addtion fishes.

l wld recommend reef safe wrasse...like fairy and flasher wrasses. But you may have to remove the six line wrasse first as it is super aggressive. l only manage to add new wrasses after i removed my sixline wrasse - a fish tt i will definitely avoid adding in future...got a hard time catching it also.
