May i know what is the use and how it benifit to the coral. cause i saw ppl add idoine to their coral when it can proble,.

hi.

iodine exist ion two form...one is iodine and the other one is iodide.

our focus today is on iodine...

first of all, iodine is used by humans for disinfection purposes..

when u are injured, the nurse will put some iodine(yellow solution) on ur wound to disinfect before dressing it...

so basically it's the same for corals...

there are many other ways to disinfect...like formalin...methyl blue....blah blah blah

but iodine is the safest way to do it.

but dun use the one which is mend for humans becos of the unknown concentration..
