Hi All,

Due to lack of space for a sump, has anyone heard of someone drilling a canister filter and attaching a skimmer to it ? (skimmer pump inside the canister filter)

Is it possible ?

canister works as a sealed air/water tight system. the sealed system allows siphonic action to draw water into the canister. technically it's not concievably possible.

however, if you study the eheim 2227 wet/dry canister series, you might be able to modify that. those canisters do not work on a air/water tight system.
