Hi Bro

Its me the sotong. Is your CL280 chiller controller faulty? The fault normally lies with the relay got burnt. I have spare relay for this model and might of help to you.

err i dunno leh. it still quite new. jus tthat i m running it on a 12G cube. it kick in for just 2-5 mins then stop. then kick in after 30 mins or so. how can it cool down 2 deg so fast? something is nt right .

shld i change just the relay? easy to replace?

You mean this CL280 is new? Or you brought it from someone else?

This is a 1/10 HP chiller. Have ever tested on a 6G tank that it takes 5 mins to cool down 1 degree.

Its sound fine to me if its takes 30 mins to cool 2 degrees for your 12 G tank which is 48 litres. After minus your rock or whatever, it should be less then 40 litres.

You can double confirm by using a second thermometer to confirm the temperate. Buying another external temp. controller might be a waste. Just my 2 cents.
