what is the difference between this and normal wool filters?

In short, the poly filter is a chemical filter and the normal wool type is for mechanical purpose.

Seachem Purigen. Everyone who used it swears by it.

Be careful of SeaChem Purigen. Don't use too much as it absorbs EVERYTHING!!

But if you use it sparingly , you'll see very clear and clean water. Coupled it with PolyFilter, you'll have sparkling clean water. Almost can be NeWater (except it contain Sodium Chloride).

Anyway, i've always used Purigen and Poly Filter from day one and things been fine.

can I jus ask you...did you mix your purigen with Activated Carbon? Or do you seperate them?

can you eleberate wat you mean by : "use it sparingly"

I don't mix it with carbon.

Normal dose for me is around 5 teaspoon worth.
