Need to borrow battery operated air pump

Dear reefers,

My block power supply will be cut for 2 hrs on 12/02/2009 and I urgently need to borrow a few battery operated air pump as I just discovered that I have loan mine out but have forgotten to collect back.

I will self collect and deliver back.

Thanks to one of our very 1st senior reefer plus fellow MASS member, I managed to sail through the power cut without any problem.

While I was at AquaStar just now, I bought 2 battery operated pump as a standby. Reefers are welcome to borrow from me when in need.

With battery operated pump loh.... I have tried that same method during the last Singapore black-out.

Have never monitored but definitely can last well over 6hrs. If you want to be extra sure just get another set of batt standby.

The one that was loan to me is National - never see it before but the Senior told me its $20+

The one I bought is RS Electrical R212 from Aquastar - bought for $6

These kind of pumps consume very little electricity, I have ran my previous ones for 20hrs per new sets of batteries.

Just now I ran with only the National in my 4 x 2.5 x 2.5 mixed reef.

Personally, I will prefer to run with a minimum of 2 - one in the main tank and another in the sump.
