Hi bros,

Am new to this hobby. Just got my tank up on staurday and is in cycling stage.

Would like to check which type of lps require targeting feeding and which do not.

Would wish to start with something easy and hardy.

Anyone could provide a list of lps, its charactertics, flow requirement, light requirement, feeding, will be handy and much appreciated.

thanks

LPS has one of the widest selection of species and sub-species....generally, for lighting requirements will be MH to T5. T5 lighting is more commonly used as it has lower power consumption, less heat and most LPS do just fine.

Low to moderate flow is good enough as too strong, their flesh will recede and melt.

Feeding of LPS has a wide varieties...some reefers here feed fresh fish and prawn meat, mixture of gourmet stuffs which can be bought at LFS like marine life and aquamarin, zooplankton, blah blah blah...almost anything that goes into their mouth.

Some LPS are very aggressive..like echinophyllia or commonly called chalice, torch, acan, favia / moon coral...so you cannot place them too near.
