Hi, can anyone advise should my skimmer produces lots of bubbles or as little bubbles for effective skimming ? Dont seem to have much skimmate. Tks

although there are more bubbles when I open the air valve but the water level in the skimmer is lower. Is this fine ? tks

There should be a minimum water level in your skimmer. Below the min water level, you won't be able to skim anything. Basically you should set the water level first and then adjust the air valve until the bubbles are able to rise up to your collection cup. Typically, air valve is set to around the 2 pm position.
