feather duster

I had a feather duster in my pico tank. initially it was doing okay for the first few days.. but i realised that it is not coming out of the tube these few days. to my surpirse, i found if out of the tube and attached to another rock.

Why would it want to abandone its tube and naked now ? what is wrong with it ?

i tried to get it back to its tube but i failed.

Please advise.

Thanks

actually these worms feed on microscopic liquid foods and other small suspensions. stirring your sand bed lightly, once in awhile may help. or dosing liquid phytoplankton. in the mean time, place it near a rock or somewhere shady, near sand and leave it. and hope nothing eats it. if it survives, it will make a new tube. it needs to be near rocks and sand because the tube will need these components to be built. that is, the dirt, sand etc.
