i would consider tunze and vortech as very good brands. and my personal favourite is tunze.

not only do they come in many models giving different flow rates, some of them are controllable. meaning you can hook them up to a multicontroller, hoook it to your laptop, and set the wave speed, pulsing movement, and many other things.

but only the bigger models offer this feature.

and tunze allows very good control of the flow as the wavemakers can rotate in their socket, making adjustment very very easy. this cannot be done in vortech wavemakers.

i feel each brands which you mention are all very good brands from Europe. There is Pros and Cons to each brand/ types of wave maker, so it is better to do some homework before deciding which one suit your needs. thumbsup.gif

Is Hydor Koralia Nano pump flowrate enought

for a 1.5 feet nano tank?

I used to use this for my 1 ft tank, but i feel the koralia nano is a little bit too small for a 1.5 ft tank .

Bro, your 1.5 ft has limited real estate.

if you put a K2 inside there, it will look damn bulky.

If there are dead spots in the tank, you would need to add in another nano wavemaker.

If you can, get a Vortech MP10.

- less heat introduced into your tank.

- save precious nano real estate.

- more pleasing to the eye.

- night mode that gives better comfort to your livestock.

- random flow and pulsing mode that your corals will love.

I last heard the old models are going for around $300 only.... not sure how true...

you might want to consider.

Eqpt: Deltec MCE 600, Tunze 6055 with Tunze 7091 controller, Artica 1/15 HP chiller, AquaIllumination Sol Blue LED Light System

2011 resolution : Do it simpler, better and in an easier way!

I got myself a RR wave maker.(design in Singapore) Made in China.

It's been running for 5 mths. So far so good.

It's running at 28,000L/hr strongest.

Price is good. Only at $480.

It does what e european brand does also.

Agent in Singapore. So support not a problem.
