SRC Member midnight angel Posted October 19, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted October 19, 2010 1. Dismantle the main cyclinder body from the base. 2. Dismantle the venturi inlet from the base. 3. Remove the center cyclinder from the base. 4. Fix an elbow from the inside of the base and fix 3" to 4" of pvc pipe facing upward so as the fine bubbles wont be suck out from the main body. 5. Fix back the main cyclinder body to the base. 6. Attach a NW pump to the inlet and U will hv a better working Weipro skimmer. Hope this will help for the Weipro skimmer user. SRC Member DUCADOS Posted October 19, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted October 19, 2010 That's a good 1... How effective is that? As in effectiveness by how many %? And what's the cost incurred for doing that? Quote Some1 doesn't 1 2 do anything find an excuse,some1 1 2 do something find a mean!
SRC Member midnight angel Posted October 19, 2010 Author SRC Member Share Posted October 19, 2010 It works pretty well if compared to it original state. I found out using NW pump direct to the inlet is much better as it will hv finer bubbles output. By removing the center cyclinder the bubbles hv more contact to form a nice foam,as the bubbles are not being suck out frm the chamber to the return outlet. As for the cost it will be less than $5 for the elbow and pvc piping. I'm very happy with it performance 100% much better.

A good concept but it looks 2 me that the foam output is just a shade off the thick cloudy swirl one sees in needlewheel skimmers.
SRC Member DUCADOS Posted October 22, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted October 22, 2010 For me I feel that weipro skimmer looks (design) kinda crappy although after he modified it,it became very good. (personal preference. No offence!) Quote Some1 doesn't 1 2 do anything find an excuse,some1 1 2 do something find a mean!
