Is chiller required?

Hello All,

I intend to use a 150W MH (just above the top of the tank) coupled with a marine white and an actinic fl to my 3' x 18" x 18" tank. Daily photo period will be 10 hrs for the MH and 12 hrs for the fl.

Do you think a chiller is a must for this lighting setup?

:thanks:

The question is what is your target temp given the corals you have or intend to keep. Demanding corals will need 25 - 26C while most will be fine at 27C and some others will tolerate up to 29C. If your target can be obtained with all that light then congrats!, u just save yourself some $$$.
