Skinny Atlantic Blue Tang

Hi guys,

Bought an Atlantic Blue Tang about 1mth ago and it's been feeding well in my tank, not harrassed too, but for some reason it seems to be getting skinnier and skinnier Everytime I feed I make sure it gets to eat before I stop feeding.

Feed them on a mix of Frozen Mysis, Cyclopeeze, Henry's Frozen Food, Seaweed etc, with staple being Formula one marine pellets/ Formula 2 flakes.

Would like to ask the experts here if there's anything I should look out for/ try to do differently?

As long as feeding well and no sign of ich or stress. Should be fine. He will gain weight once adapted to new environment.

could be internal parasites.

although rare in tangs, it may still be present.

if it gets worse, feeding praziquantel soaked food will help.

i have the same issue with AT and YT

try to feed more seaweed or buy red bamboo for them to nip

The YT I bought same time as him is fat as a pig though. Hopefully it'll get plump soon.

praziquantel can get from iwarna.
