Dascyllus reticulatus
Dascyllus reticulatus commonly is found in schools inside various species of branching stony corals. In the home aquarium, they can be kept by themselves or in schools of at least 6 or more individuals. These fish are aggressive and territorial and can harass fish many times it’s size. It is not suitable for a peaceful community tank.
Maximum Size: the Dascyllus reticulatus grows up to 4 inches.
Minimum Tank Size: The 2-Stripe Damsel prefers a tank of at least 30 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim.
Diet: The Dascyllus reticulatus is a omnivore and likes to eat variety of foods (meats & veggies).
Level of Care: The 2-Stripe Damsel is a low maintenance fish.
Behavior: The 2-Stripe Damsel may act aggressively toward other fish.
Hardiness: This is a hardy fish.
Water Conditions: Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 – 1.025, pH 8.1 – 8.4, Temp. 72 – 78 F).
Range: Indo-Pacific.
