Centropyge bispinosus
Centropyge bispinosus (Gunther 1860), Two-Spined, Dusky or Coral Beauty Angel. Usually hardy. Able to get along with other Pygmy Angels in a tank of at least 75 Gallons or more, due to territoriality. One of the more desirable species of Pygmy Angel, the Coral Beauty is a beautiful specimen that adapts quite well to captive conditions in either a community tank or a Ref type tank. As with other Pygmy Angels, caution must be kept when keeping these angels with Tridacnid clams, and Scallops. Can be a little more aggressive to other Pygmy Angels, but if kept in larger Aquaria, they will do quite well.
Maximum Size: the Centropyge bispinosus grows up to 4 inches.
Minimum Tank Size: The Coral Beauty Angel prefers a tank of at least 40 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim.
Diet: The Centropyge bispinosus is a omnivore and likes to eat Omnivore, picking at sessile Invertebrates, and various Micro Algae.
Level of Care: The Coral Beauty Angel is a medium maintenance fish.
Behavior: The Coral Beauty Angel may act semi-aggressively toward other fish.
Hardiness: This is a fairly hardy fish.
Water Conditions: Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 – 1.025, pH 8.1 – 8.4, Temp. 72 – 78 F).
