The Lienardella fasciata or Harlequin Tusk wrasse is actually a very peaceful fish in spite of it’s viscious appearance. Is not considered reef safe as it will eat any shrimp, crab or snail it can find. Typically shy and hide a lot as a juvenile, may become bolder with age. Harlequin tush should be only one per tank. Best kept in fish only systems with boisterous wrasses, surgeonfishes, large angelfishes, puffers and triggers. May need to feed live saltwater feeders until wrasse learns to eat frozen and prepared foods. Australian specimens tend to be more colorful and hardier (more blue coloration it noted).
