Cirrhilabrus solarensis
Cirrhilabrus solarensis or Painted Fairy Wrasse needs a tank with a sandbed as this is where it hides when frightened and burrows for sleep at night. An excellent substitute for harder to keep Anthias, Lubbocks Fairy Wrasses are happiest in schools and are a bright addition to any peaceful system. Will school with chromis and other schooling fish.
Maximum Size: the Cirrhilabrus solarensis grows up to 3.5 inches.
Minimum Tank Size: The Painted Fairy Wrasse prefers a tank of at least 20 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim.
Diet: The Cirrhilabrus solarensis is a carnivore and likes to eat chopped meats, small invert (amphipods & foraminiferans), live feeder shrimp, worms.
Level of Care: The Painted Fairy Wrasse is a medium maintenance fish.
Behavior: The Painted Fairy Wrasse may act peacefully toward other fish. Not venomous.
Hardiness: this is a relatively hardy species
Water Conditions: Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 – 1.025, pH 8.1 – 8.4, Temp. 72 – 78 F).
