Possum Wrasse
Wetmorella sp.
The Banded Possum Wrasse is arrowhead shaped and has a juvenile coloration of a reddish body with white stripes. As this fish matures it will take on a rust color. Color may vary depending on the mood of the fish (stress, feeding, sleeping etc.)
Maximum Size: the Wetmorella sp. grows up to 3 inches.
Minimum Tank Size: The Possum Wrasse prefers a tank of at least 30 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim.
Diet: The Wetmorella sp. is a carnivore and likes to eat chopped meats, small invert (amphipods & foraminiferans), live feeder shrimp, worms.
Level of Care: The Possum Wrasse is a medium maintenance fish.
Behavior: The Possum Wrasse may act peacefully toward other fish. Not venomous.
Hardiness: this is a relatively hardy species
Water Conditions: Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 – 1.025, pH 8.1 – 8.4, Temp. 72 – 78 F).
Range: Indo-Pacific.
