  1. Apologies, i posted the wrong number, it should be 9187 95 three two.
  2. I have three lightly used Tunze 6055 and a multi-adapter, which allows you to control up to 4 wavemakers with 2 controllers, or 2 wavemakers with 1 controller. These were mainly backup wavemakers and were used less than 6 months at any one time, so plenty of life left in them. I also have a tunze nano wavebox, which can be used to create standing waves even in a 3ft tank. I still have the original box. Lastly, i have a tunze skimmer, which i used for a 2 x 1.5 x 1.5ft tank for 1 year before i decided to customise a 3 x 2 x 2ft tank. I still have the original box. All items were from reef depot. I am clearing stuff for Chinese new year, so any reasonable offers go! Whatsapp me at +659187 95 three six. Thanks!
  3. Hi Fitzan, your water parameters do not look ready but its up to you. Try to stabilize your KH, CA and MG before you start adding corals and you will thank yourself for it.
  4. Wow, you are certainly patient with the long cycling and controlled addition of live stocks. Kudos to you, mate!
  5. Hey there, i used to have the same problem too. It seems like your MG is already at good levels, but KH is fluctuating too much. I remember reading KH and CA share the same space and there is an ideal proportion, thus more KH equal less CA and vice-versa. I suggest to keep dosing part a and b in equal amounts and they should even out eventually. I started with 15ml per 25gallons and tested every week. I finally ended up with 20ml of part a and b per 25 gallons, which gave me good values after 3 weeks of dosing. In between water changes, the parameters got even closer to what i wanted to achieve. Hope that helps!
  6. Hi Filzan, No worries and your cycling looks good. I have no experience with boyu, but I suspect that you will need some time to dial it in. Maybe reduce the water level to get darker skimmate. It should work properly if it is new so no need to go out and buy a new skimmer. I do have a nano one for my old tank somewhere if you like to take over, but I think there is no need. The selection of fishes look okay but not sure if are too many including inverts. I like the blue leg hermit crabs, astrea snails, brittle stars and peppermint shrimps as cleaners. Hehe. Last but not least, I am not sure if your skimmer pump contributes to the flow, which I do not think so. What is the flow rate of the return? The white stuff could be pods i.e living organisms! Cheers!
  7. Hi Filzan, Welcome to the reefing club. I was also a FW convert many years ago and still love a good planted tank. Haha I have also gone through many heartbreaking scenarios with my reef tank, where I almost wanted to decomm permanently too. In any case, I thought I would share some thoughts with you on your thread and hope it helps. Firstly, I believe you are doing a great job cycling the tank. Hang on to it and let it cycle as long as you can, possibly up to a month to build up the BB. It will be worth your wait. Secondly, I trust you did ample research before you went out to get your equipment. Do not be tempted to keep upgrading unless you are already at the limits of your equipment, which you are not. There is no end to upgrading honestly and you will burn cash too quickly. Thirdly, your PH is absolutely fine. There is no need to obsess over it at the moment. KH and CA are more important and if you keep it within check, most of the other parameters will line up like the stars. I like to keep KH at 8 and CA around 400 or more. Meanwhile, I would recommend you to keep your lights off during cycling as it will fuel algae growth, plus you do not have livestock in the tank. You can keep your skimmer and chiller on if you like. Again, everyone does things differently and there is no right or wrong, I guess. Have fun with your upcoming algae bloom and do not give up!
  8. I did not know that a high bio-load would cause the PH to drop, but that is good to know. I would like to advocate 2-part dosing if you are not doing it already since your KH and CA are out of whack. My short 2-years experience struggling with reefing have taught me that once the parameters line-up, everything else will fall into rightful place. With my tank, I started dosing 20ml of each part daily for a week or two and kept taking daily readings and fine-tuning. Finally I ended up with 25ml of each part daily and the CA, KH and MG holds solid at close to natural seawater levels. The PH also moves from 8.1-8.3 at the highest. I also dose RF-BioFuel but I do not see the PH moving, but again I dose the suggested levels, which are not as much as you are dosing. Nevertheless, 3ml should not have caused the PH to move by 0.2, which is really too much. Honestly even when I dose 20ml of Part B for KH, my PH probe would only detect movement of 0.03-8 at most upon dispensing in and move back down quickly. Hope it helps!
  9. Wondering if anyone is kind enough to spare some chaeto for me to kick-start my refugium? Happy to buy coffee or tea! Thanks!
  10. Hey James, I feed them with nano-roids from Polyplab.

  12. Sure, but the white lights are out and it is not the best picture. Apologies, I will do some better pictures another day.
  13. It has been a long time since I got back to this forum. My tank is still around but it has been 3 years now and alot has evolved. I plan to revive this log and record my progress. My tank has gone through a crash once as I ran out of the 2-part dosing solution 6 months ago. I then rescued whatever I had left and have also done a re-scape after cleaning up the tank and doing a 50% water change to reset the parameters. Now the tank is mainly dominated by softies with some LPS and SPS at the top. I plan to allow the tank to stabilize for another few more months before grabbing more SPS frags, although donations are welcome too! Haha. Thanks for reading folks!
  14. Sorry, I missed out one. I also have a SMS Module and am asking for SGD$200. Thanks!
  15. I have some spare items to let go: 1) New Style PH Interface 2) New Style Water Leakage Sensor 3) Temperature Probe Make me a reasonable offer and its yours! I am also keen in trading for a aquatronica salinity interface and probe. Thanks!
