hi, the chalet u are talking abt at Salang Beach is normally not for walk-in. hear the rates is somewhere bet RM250-RM400 per night, depending on demand and whether it's holiday or not. I have been to Salang beach abt 5 time ... is one of the more commerical beach.. if i remember correctly, there are abt 8 chalets operator, each having their own abt 8-10 aircon/non aircon chalets. rates range from rm25 - rm40 for non-aircon and rm50-rm90 for air con chalets. there are 7-10 diving centres (some are such that the shop is physically there, but no one there to run in).. that's all i can remember for salang now.. btw, i drive to Mersing and transfer to ferry.. cost me and my mrs abt S$200 for 4 days plus return ferry, air con chalet and good food.. my $0.02

I always have this thinking that... so long as there is a Y-plate, G-plate and PA plate vehicle that is travelling at 20km above the speed limit.. is safe for cars drivers to speed Especialy so if they are following behind you in the center lane with less than 1m of safety distance behind... because if the TP comes from the back.. u are 'covered'... my average rate of meeting a TP on the road or expressway is abt 3-4 times per week.. longest distance been tail-gated by a TP while he is thinking whether or not to summom me was around 15km (AYE, Depot rd to Clementi Exit)... heng he didnt summon me.. 110km on a 80km stretch of road but everyone else was at the same speed as me.. i'm the only one that slow down.. then kena followed.. hai~~ my 2 cents worth
