Is this aiptasia?

no the hairy algae are not aiptaisa. maybe those 2 white thing standing up like a mushroom with yes.. but cant see clearly from your photo. u can google airptasia for the photo.. they look like sand anemone, but growth and spread very fast

Had recent episode with aip too, just to share my experience........ 

one good way to ID it is to put something near to it, if it folds inward & retract in hole,(stalk also retracts), then most prob aip.

If tentacles retract, but tube left, then most prob fan worms.

If nothing happens, then it's hair algae:P

 

Any experts out there, pls feel free to correct me..
