Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app So far so good, bro. Pros: Square shape fits in my IOS corner nicely. Skimmed out lots of nutrients daily. DC pump, so I can just press a button to stop it for 10 mins, while I take the cup for cleaning. DC pump, so I can tune the skimming power easily. Quiet too. Surface skimming; those layer of dirt or oil on the water. Skimmer cup easy to clean, since it is not big Cons: Sometimes, if cup not fit properly, micro bubbles might escape out from the side. So far, I like it much. Quote () Happy will do ... (o_o)

But I think, snails are too slow, they only help abit. Algae blenny helps a lot on the rocks. Diatom/brown algae will pass once your system stabilized and hopefully don't come back 1 Quote () Happy will do ... (o_o)

SRC Member digibee Posted December 28, 2016 Author SRC Member Share Posted December 28, 2016 Year end updates:- Some brown algae came back; could be due to overfeeding. Blackbar hogfish behaves like a pig .... keeps asking for food. Can't resists a mini goldflake angelfish; so bought it; though I would still like to keep some zoas and lps Added in a couple of xenia frags. Quote () Happy will do ... Bro, may I ask why u choose 2 compartments over more compartments like usual 3 in ur IOS? Issit becoz of ur cooling coil? My tank width only about 2 feet plus a bit; so not much space for more compartment. Also, I prefer bigger compartment than smaller one; and I want to keep things as simple as possible. My chiller coil takes up half of the one compartment only; it is a smaller coil; but it works the same; Water temperature currently maintained at about 25 degrees. Quote () Happy will do ...
