chloes
Hi, Newbie here. Going to start a Nano (pico?) soon. My tank is 1.5ft x 1ft x 1ft, but I thought of getting another 1ft cube. Anyone can recommend a good powerhead for these tank sizes? I do not want a hang-on filter... Also, how much salt and which brand will I need for a tank this size? Any help is appreciated. Have read about cycling so I will be getting the following: - Powerhead - Salt - Sand - LR (anywhere I can get very good LR? The lighter, the better. Will 4 kg be enough?) Thanks. chloes
I'm using the powerhead for circulation only. Why no sand? I thought it would help in the filtration since my tank is small?

Gouldian
One good pump you mat consider is the Tunze Universal pump Mini 5024.04. I believe you can get it from our sponsor Reef Depot. I thought it would help in the filtration since my tank is small? Unless your sandbed is more than 4" deep, it probably will not perform biological filtration effectively.
