  2. I choose 1264 for 4 ft. The overall tank turn over rate should be at least 10 X ( total volume of the tank + sump volume)/ hr and we have to minus the head loss of the sump to the main tank height. my 2 cents

  3. If our nose can detect, it probably means most of the living thing in the tank is dead! Use test kit to test. I only test ammonia during the initial setup. A mature system shouldn't have trace of ammonia.

  4. Hi bro, as shanon mentioned b4: the pond will be about 2.2m deep with 10 Tsurumi 50 TM 2.45(S)s moving 200,000 litres of water through 12.8m3 of crushed coral every hour for filtration. Very interesting thread. *like* Cheers
