  1. btw, if my tank is a 40L tank, what will be the recommended power for my power head? will 1000L/hour be too much? becos i dun feel like having a waver to take up space.. haha

1000L/hr will be 25 times turn over. I will say it's defnitely not too much. If you just want to keep some simple zoas, shrooms and maybe some LPS should not be a problem at all. They can definitely take more flow than that ; just don't keep them under direct flow. Your flow is mainly determined by the type of corals you intend to keep.

  2. Tt TLF magnet looks like deceptively big in the photo! Totally cool product for pico owners, it is tiny and super handy at cleaning the walls with it's super small and flat inside surface :) Great purchase Desi! :ThanxSmiley:

totally agree! especially for tight spaces where it's hard to reach by hand or other magnetic cleaners/scrubbers

  3. Hi CFOh@ thanks alot, I caught 7 nudis in the tank. Yirks...don't know where they came from. Do you know any medicine that I can pour into the tank to kill those that are still in the tank.?

    Attached are my sleeping polyps.

I don't think it's advisable to add medication into your main tank to treat corals or fishes. Unless really really no choice due to some special circumstances. Best is to put in that extra effort to isolate them for treatment.

  4. It says

    "

    Note:

The above allowances are for baggage of travellers only and are not applicable to items shipped by cargo."

You can hand carry/check in if it's within the limit stated and you have the proper endorsement if it falls within CITES listing( Which majority of corals are)

Ordering online does not fall within this category stated.

  5. I think it might be doable for 1 - 2 shrimps plus a few small pieces of LR.

Main concern is whether you have previously added medication to treat livestock in your FW tank. Just like FW shrimps they are sensitive to the presence of copper.

Anyway the important thing is to go slow and plan well.

  6. I tried before but I cant find them... It is called expanding foam... But normal hardware shop dun have...

You mean Great Stuff Expandable Foam?

I used them to make backings for terrariums

Can get them from Home-Fix , Marina Square outlet. Not every outlet sells them. ^^"

  7. Your tank size is possible but not easy and very limiting in terms of what you can keep.

Small tank means small volume thus it's relatively harder to maintain stable water parameters. So I guess more sensitive livestock is not advisable. The size of your tank also limits the amount and size of livestock you can keep. More often we will find ourselves wanting to buy more livestock ( LS) but our tank may not have the space.

Then probably you end up getting an upgrade soon. So I guess it's better to get the biggest tank you can afford and comfortable with to start.

So I guess it boils down to what you plan to keep and how discipline you are.

Maybe can share with us what you intend to keep ?
