We couldn't find any netting that was small enough for Grade #0, so we didn't use any. But I thought netting is needed 4 a plenum not a DSB? We wanted 2 do a plenum but since cannot obtain the necessary netting-size we omitted the idea & stuck 2 DSB.

If you can't setup a DSB to deal naturally with nitrates... then you can try packing your tank with lots of LR of the right type (dense and large pieces where the centre is anaerobic).
Centre is anerobic? U mean if DSB cannot be employed, the LR takes the place of the DSB, thus housing the anerobic bacteria? If have both even better??

Whats their "market price" 4 the CS? Any idea how much were the snails? Thought of getting some this weekend.

. Unfortunately, I'm pretty new 2 marine keeping myself, so I dare not advise or offer my limited knowledge 2 U, lest its the wrong info. MayB its better 2 wait 4 the experts 2 lend U a hand. I think it might help a little if U can re-post a better/clearer pic 4 them 2 look see & diagnose 4 U.

Dunno leh ... frm being pregnant 2 being DOA, very drastic right? ... They both turned up dead ... but didn't look like any of the other tank inhabitants attacked them or anything.
Its still a mystery. .. Might go get some more CS this weekend tho, hopefully they will survive this time.
