It does NOT save energy as such it just adjusts your power factor which can effect the way your power meter reads the usage. Power factor is well known, it a basic part of electrical theory ask a electrical engineer friend to give you a long explanation. I would NOT buy one. it worthless unless your first test your power factory and that's not something easy to do. In fact it just a capacitor and as such might even in some cases increase your bill.
