  1. bro, set 3 is abalone. I had it before. You will notice multiple holes in the shell. Good for you. Its a very good algae eater. Where did you get al these good stuff from ?
  2. hi bro, all your blasto looks very stressed. Place them all in shady places first to acclamitise.
  3. hi guys, i have around 3~6 kgs of live rocks in assorted sizes giving away free. I stay at pasir ris near mrt station. Must collect by sat evening or I will throw away. any takers ?
  4. Hi people, dwarf angels definitely will nip on corals, esp when they are hungry. I have found that after i installed a food timer that dispenses the flakes/food 2/3 times a day, my angels stopped nipping on my corals for fun. I am keeping flame and full moon dwarf angels.
  5. anyone with chaeto for sale in the east ?
  6. i prefer the first compartment. cos after the refugium, plankton from your refugium can go directly up to your main tank.
  7. Hi all, Unbelievable, I was staring and monitoring my refugium to understand why in the world is my chaeto collection dwindling and to my horrows, I saw the bristle worms eating my chaeto in the refugium !!! I mean there is no much meat / food in my refugium but for the bristle worms to turn vegetarian and eating my chaeto is amazing. I am buying a couple of large coral banded shrimps and hope that these hungry guys will rid the worms.
  8. HI AT, I thot it was indestructable too until it starts disappearing. I lost 2 ft tank worth of chaeto within a 4 weeks period after i bought in sea fans, large xenia and large gorgorians. Thats why i suspect it was chemical warfare. Plus I have 2 skimmer one h&s and 1 schuran running.
  9. Hi folks, any other algae that is fast growing and stable ? My chaeto was growing well for 2 years than it suddenly start to disappear and disintegrate. I think it is suffering under chemical warfare from my suspected sea fans and gorgonians.
  10. UWS Bro ... I think you better have plan B ...
  11. sorry to hear that bro, But in my opinion 8 mm of glass/acrylic seems like too thin for marine tank. 8mm fresh water tank is ok, but for marine I am suspicious cos you would be putting in rocks, salt ... etc. I bought my tank for CR aquarium, custom built, 3 feet, 12mm thickness. Default tank glass thickness in CR is at least 10 mm, 12 mm is better I think. 8mm is i think on the thin side, risky.
  12. HI all, I would like to buy off 2nd hand 2 ft PL Light in the east for my refugium. Anyone has one for sale ?
  13. they can be trained to eat pellets and frozen food and will nip the rocks. It is important to buy from a aquarium where it has already been trained to eat pellets eg. from sealife.
  14. Bro, before I can make enough to retire, I need to pay "tuition fees" ....
  15. parasite. kill it if you can elze it will spread. Buy a wrasse like six line wrasse or solar wrasse or yellow coris which will hunt down these parasites.
  16. wow hammy very nice tank. Need more dedicated reefers like you to maintain the standard left behind by scarab and AT. Lots of laughs ......
  17. wow bro. Your tank and dedication is amazing. i think you are the second generation of super aquarist to take over from legendary scarab and AT of old. Keep it up. Hopefully your tank will make it to some reef magazine later.
