Coral beauty more common and hardy... Potteri usually dont do well in captivity... but very nice.. Golden also dont do well as dont feed well and hides a lot If you wanna spend a little, try joculator!
Wrasses are good, mystery wrasse, leopard wrasse or the fairy wrasses all very nice

Wow Golden Angel! Very Nice. What's the damage?
6 reds from SL.. still left one but also not feeding I think CF also have...

articial rocks weight a lot in water.. if you don't believe you can soak in water and try and remove it. It traps the water as it's vacuum inside. It probably traps more water than the most porous live rocks.
-
True LR is solid !
I prefer LR than Artificial rock due to the weight, natural look and less problem in the long run !
Btw, just curious whether will the artificial rock peek off first layer(colour) if you take out the corals that glued on it ?
Not true... otherwise the live rock will weigh the same dry or wet.
As for the colour of the artificial rock, so far don't see the colors coming off.

So sweets.
Cammping here.
One fine day, who know your bf might propose to you hiding a ring in your reef tank. Keke
good idea... but like this must put in a big tank.. more challenging! LOL

The reason why DSB is not so common for display tank is it gets ugly over time! LOL... the algae on the sand, the glass put people off. As for tank crashing, it will happen if too much of the nitrate trapped under the DSB is suddenly released (i.e. suddenly rescape the whole tank, disturb the DSB). The recommended action is to get snails, starfish, sand dollars etc to turn the sand gradually. Also, you can turn some of the sand manually.

it's not an extremely beautiful fish, but it's a super deep water atlantic anthias.

Swee swee lah! Did you grow those zoas from frags? That'll be amazing growth!
Hi Peacemaker
Yes, some are frags from various reefers.. some are small colony but generally grew quite a bit

Link also gone.

Just check and realised 1st 3 links all gone.. time to update

Not sure if CFOh's link is for marine tank but anyway i plugged in your numbers and it shows 8mm as very safe when i use safety factor of 4 (3.8 is recommended, but not sure is it marine tank).
-
certainly possible. Just make sure glass thickness is thick enough. I have seen tanks that are a little warped because its not thick enough and has no top/bottom bracing.
What I suggest is go for the recommended thickness and consider doing bottom bracing to reinforce. Also, lower height will help as well.

Finally! At last the longest built on SRC is completed! just kidding bro.. things look great! Let us know when you free, we can go CA's place together:) We just went on Friday night
Also, let's have a tank-warming session at your place when you ready
-
Hi CFOh... I see, true since it's one whole street right? I never visit it in the past :0
Anyway, next time i go HK, i shall go visit

Nice Tank!
Wah see your tank I am very tempted to go back to Marine! Too bad for now no moola...
Though I am increasingly inclined towards shallow Macro tanks now.
Am planning a nano lagoon; Seagrass and macro algae. A pair of Mandarin dragonets for livestock (Really like those buggers so much that I will just keep them, no other fish). Tank will be very minimalistic, no sump just a tank and nano wave maker.
Anyway, does CR do crystal glass with white silicon like those ADA kind?
Aloysius.. I believe CR do crystal glass with white silicon..

CFOh, i thought easier to get there from MONGKOK station? I didn't really go there but went to nearby in the past

Wow....Lemon.....my mind was like running wild and think of that BIG BIG aquarium while reading you paint the picture...imagine like you say all those angels build nest, spawn and new hybrid !!!
Yeah i have watch David's tank for numerous time, very inspiring with so many nice mix of fishes. He has a good blend of schools of yellow splashes (yellow tank mainly) and red color anthias, which makes it very pleasing as a whole. Some very rare fish as well though, but may not have as many of the collection as you have listed.
If only some really passionate reefers in singapore who has got a big landed property could build something like him !
Hmm....Ketchup and Desi seems quite fit the profile
ya right.. provided we own Deltec like David Saxby...
-
Dr Ang, that means my tank can NEVER keep blue/purple SPS lor! LOL...
btw, thinking of dropping by on Friday... will sms u beforehand.
