  1. I have a pair of young clownfish for sale. They are bought from coral farm and are already in my QT for 2 weeks. No medication were used and they looks to be parasite free so far. Letting go this pair for $15. Collection at woodlands. Whatsapp me at 910six393four. Sent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
  2. Prazigold (praziquintel in general) is entirely reef safe, i have done so recently in my tank with Zoas, LPS and sps with no adverse effects whatsoever on any fish/corals/inverts. Do note that the medication might kill feather duster worms.
  3. Which is why QT is so so important.. there's no way any LFS/source can be 100% reef safe even if they claim they quarantine. I've seen heard way too many cases of reefers adding cheap fish directly into display tank without QT and end up wiping the whole tank full of more expensive fishes.
  4. Thanks bro! Yeah i'm looking to stock this tank up with 1 or 2 more fishes but not in a hurry, things are finally stabilizing again so want to do thing slow! I do QT every single fish that goes into the system with a tiny 25L QT tank, i use copper power, praziquientel and metronidazole for medication. They will be medicated with copper at therapeutic level for a month. However, the naoko wrasse was bought from CF (IMO, this is the only place i will get my fish from if i don't QT, as they have industrial grade UV running throughout all their system) and since they are relatively sensitive to medication, i chose to QT without medication and released it into the display tank after 3 weeks or so.

  8. Dipping does nothing if the corals does not get inspected for eggs. and i do not expect any LFS to throughly inspect every single coral for eggs after dipping.
  9. How big? With that quantity I reckon you'll need a pond.
  10. Not sure if discussions are allowed here, and mod please remove if not appropriate. Just curious, what were you thinking when you decided to get so many juv blue tang for your tank?
  11. What corals are you keeping? if its softies/lps dominated, prime 16HD should be sufficient. if SPS dominated you'll probably need a AI 26/32HD.

  18. Enough talking, I'll let the pictures do the talking next! Purple bonsai Red millie, one of the new frags i bought a month ago to 'test' water after things started stablizing. Miyagi tort, had lots of burnt tips and it turned totally brown, was surprised this didnt STN in the end. One of my favourite, a blue body red poylp acro, this took the crash surprisngly well and didn't change much. Not exactly sure what this is, got it for free from a friend and its coloring up really nicely. Purple nana perhaps? ever encrusting red stag, or rather, brown stag for now... Setosa, Fibre optic and a recent addition, red dragon. Some new additions from a week ago. Red millie Sunset millie Gold millie Top view of the SPS, as u can see, i've lost quite a few acros (including my SSC colony!). My blue maxima, grown quite a bit!
  19. Day 175 Its been almost 2 months since i updated this tank thread! Glad to see the forum's back to normal and my thread is opened! Its been a rocky past 2 months for the tank, battled a 'mini crash' where i lost quite a few SPS and inconsistent nutrients level. In summary, i started losing SPS and couldn't pin point it to a single source. I stopped dosing everything (except for my DIY Tropic Marin All-For-Reef solution) and started doing 10% water change every few days. Weeks gone by and the tank started to stablize again, I figured what could possibly caused the 'crash' was the a certain brand of bacteria i was dosing via a dosing pump (2ml a day), had gone bad and was dosing rotten bacteria. I guess this resulted in some sort of bacteria infection amongst the SPS. LPS, zoas and anemones are totally fine as well. At the same time, i was battling high phosphate (0.25ppm) and am still have relatively high phosphate right now (0.15ppm). I went for a FM ICP test last month to see if i could pin point what was going on in the tank. Some of the micro elements are depleted (surprisingly for such a young tank) and i have added TM K and A element into my AFR mix to address that. Another 2 elements of concern are Aluminium and Tin, i suspect they came from the Marinepure balls i had in my sump and had removed them. I will do another ICP test when the tank hit 1 year old to see how the elements have changed.
