  1. Hey guys, there will be a 4 hours power down in my area soon. i'll be getting an AC/DC pump to keep my freshwater set up aerated should i drop a few airstone to keep my 1ft cube (with 36cm height) 34L tank aerated? or is there anything i should do?

Right now my tank has some zoas, hammer corals and rics.. and 2 asterea snails, 1 false clown and 1 boxer shrimp.

    Thanks!

  2. Hey guys, im toying with the idea of a 50x30x20cm tank in my bedroom.. my computer table is attached to this shelf that the stated tank size can just fit nicely. the total height of the compartment is 33cm.. tank's 20cm and i have 13 cm of clearance for lighting.... i plan to go for LED.. but that will mean it will need to be place pretty close (around 5 - 10cm) to the water.

any also im on a budget too.. so what kind of LED would suit my needs? im thinking of going down Sim Lim Tower and DIY 5050 SMD LED strips since my tank's only 20cm but still worried it may not be enough..

This tank is planned to be a mainly zoas and maybe some LPS tank. definitely not SPS.

  3. only just 5 days later, my item has arrived!

only had a E27 socket in my house but its in my yard.. so used that for testing.. light penetrated all the way down 7ft! worried might be too bright for my tank now.. haha

Anyway how to see if it has a 90 degree lens?

  4. Hey guys, i just bought a boxer shrimp few days ago and im planning to keep sexy shrimp too.. upon reading more on boxer shrimp, i read some people saying they might have a tendency to attack other shrimps.. is this true? should i remove the boxer shrimp if i want to keep cleaner or sexy shrimp or are they able to live well together if i make sure they are all well fed?

  5. Hey guys, i just bought a pair of clown for my 34L tank yesterday and today i noticed one of them developing brookylnella.. with those white mucus and fungus like slime on the body.

i understand formalin should be used to treat them.. where can i find formalin in singapore? i read that its not readily available..

And another question is, right now my other clown is still looking healthy.. how do i ensure he does not have brooklynella? and i read that after a fish suffered from this disease, it is recommanded that no other fish is added for the next 6 - 8 weeks so that the parasite can die off. is this true?
