  1. if u guys read on he said that the shrimps have been in his tank for a couple mth already so aclimatization stress is out ... maybe something wrong with the water ....

  3. change water frequently during curing ... and a pump to produce current is a must .... scrub off any dying or decaying matter and cycle the rock again in new saltwater
  4. 1) 3ft x 1.5ft x 1.5ft tank + 2ft sump 2) using a DSB and only about 15-20kg of liverocks (getting more liverocks soon) when u add more liverocks the cycling restarts again 3) jebo skimmer think u need a better skimmer 4) 3ft ATMAN PL light set with 1 Actinic blue and 1 white i c that u have a bottle of coral feed means u want to keep corals... your lights is not enuff ... 5) a clip on fan, bigger than a PC fan depends how effective the fan is ... 6) a bottle of trace element u need more test kits eg amonia ,nitrite ,nitrate , ph ,kh , 7) a bottle of coral feed refer to item number 4
  5. anemone not recomended for biginner .... needs good lighting and good water condition ...

  8. when i was cleaning some fish for cooking ... found the fish has eggs/roe in them .. got an idea strait away !!! took the roe cut it open and shaked em in my tank .... small tiny fish eggs swamp the tank .. my fish stock love them ... tube worms liked them ... my shrimps were in a frenzy ...
  9. dont bother moving your anemone cos it gonna move back to that position ... they have a good reason for being there in the first place .... maybe it receives the most light there . as for the cuke itll move it self ...

  11. wah very chim ....... sump works like an overflow but at the side of tank .... maybe can elaborate more bout your system. if it really works like an overflow meaning u pump water into the sump and gravity brings back the water into main tank then the evaporation is seen in the main tank . if u use 2 pumps (which should not be done ) meaning pump water into and out of sump then evaporation rate is seen on both tanks

  15. set up 1 day before chinese newyear = less than 5 days + live stock summore ..... u think tank cycled?
  16. $4-$6 rocks are not good looking and the are usually heavy and always big and round ... good for base rocks only . get bit more expensive ones at $7-$10 u'll get nice pink and red coralline covered rocks ....sometimes more porous and better shape good for scaping ...

  19. if a clam is deprived of good lightings for about 3 - 4 weeks what will happen to it ... ive seen blue turn to brown but still alive ... can it still be salvaged and put under proper lightings will the blue colour come back? how do we identify sick or dying clams ... are the still in good health if the mantle still opens but colour have faded or turn darker ...

Y they run out after 1 min i dont know .. but i ve seen and read in this forum and others that this is one of the ways to remove critters from new uncured live rocks .... and it does work ... and bout the cycling part ... i was saying if u are just starting to setup a new tank then u can try this method coz newly bought liverocks needs to cycle too ...
