  1. Hi guys. I'm selling my mandarin thats trained to eat frozen bloodworms, because its a pain in the a** to spotfeed him. This one I'm selling for $20, cos 1. I've trained it to go inside a bottle to eat 2. Its bigger then the last one I sold, since I feed it daily Collection area @ my house at joo chiat area. For my convenience and so you can see it eating for yourself. Interested please PM me. Thanks
  2. Hi guys, due to compatibility issues, I have a 3.5 inch dwarf fuzzy lion to give away. Its completely red, and eats frozen squid and market prawns off a feeding stick. Collection in katong/eunos/paya lebar area. Please PM me if interested. Thanks
  3. As I recieved a few queries as to how I trained 2 mandarins to eat frozen bloodworms, I thought I'd share my exp here. Hopefully this will reduce the number of mandarins starving to death in tanks with insufficient pods. The original idea was not mine, I got the gist of it from another forum. 1. Buy the biggest, healthiest mandarin you can find. Ensure its not caught using cynanide. I got mine from aquamarin (trap caught). 2. Get a large net/basket to isolate your mandarin. I used a net. 3. Give the mandarin 2-3 days to get comfortable in your tank. 4. Buy tubifex or bloodworms from freshwater LFS. 5. Feed your mandarin the liveliest worms. With any luck, your mandarin will be hungry and attracted to the movement of the worms. 6. Feed twice daily, with live worms, for 2-3 days. 7. On third day, mix in frozen blood worm, gradually increasing live to dead worm ratio till all you're feeding is enriched frozen blood worms. 8. Voila! Once your mandarin recognizes the worms as food, should have no problem in getting him/her to eat. 9. For those bros with lively tank mates which might compete with mandarin for food, google 'melev reef mandarin diner'. I'm feeding my mandarin using his idea And thats all folks
  4. Google 'golden ration of landscaping'. I followed the ratio and my rockscape has never looked better
  5. Bump, and collection area at Joo Chiat. PM me for exact address. Thanks
  6. Bought 2 male mandarins recently with the intention of trying to train at least 1 to eat frozen. Didnt really have high hopes, as you guys should know, most mandarins never learn to eat frozen. So imagine my surprise when both mandarins started eating frozen blood worms and brine shrimp. But as both are male, I cant release both into my tank. So am letting go of 1 for the price I bought it for $10, self collect for my convenience and so you can confirm he is eating frozen. TIA
  7. Hi guys, right now, in my 75 gallon, I have 1 Snowflake eel 1 fuzzy dwarf lion 1 azure damsel 1 tomato clown 1 algae blenny 1 mandarin (still training to eat frozen, so dont know it it will survive long term) I plan to add 1 coral beauty and 4 blue damsels in the near future. Will I be overstocked? TIA for any feedback
  8. I do have a refugium where I can see pods...also can see in the main tank pods crawling on the glass. Just want to be sure I can replenish the supply if the mandarin eats them all.
  9. Hi guys. Is there any place in Singapore that sell pods? I want to get a mandarin but scared he will starve...TIA
  10. Would like to buy all the chaeto. Please check your pm
  11. For a 4 ft tank. I already have a hood that can accomadate 2 bulbs. For now its a FOWLR tank, possibly upgrading to mushrooms later. Would like a good growth of coralline as well. What light combi would be good?
  12. The lower the better mah...Dont mind topping up water about twice a day. I'm using sunsun wavemaker X 3 (intro by iwarna aunty) from china, octopus skimmer and italian pump (intro by aquamarin), so dont think can reduce wattage liao
