Hi all tropic marin all for Reef users,
I’ve been making Tropic Marin’s All for Reef using the following recipe (with ultra pure 0 TDS 5 stage RODI water), shared by Tropic Marin CEO Lou Ekus and compiled by BRS under this forum thread:
https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/diy-all-for-reef-recipe-from-tropic-marin-thanks-zack.659055/
I always make batch of 10litres and I’ve always have excess
So I’ll selling the excess at $20/litres (Retail at $40/litre) for those who would like to enjoy some convenience and savings in money
Do whatsapp me at 9338 567one if you’re keen, only around 4 litres available
Thanks

Within the collage, the pic below is the pic when I first got it. The pic on top is what color it is currently.

Ermm I could be wrong, but in my opinion it’s either a mis-ID or a ssc that’s not at its best to begin with, based on that picture
Furthermore, like what I’ve mentioned, sps may shift colour in a different tank. But if it’s a ssc, then it’s possible to colour it up till it has its fluorescent colour. The process may take up to 6months even in the best tank conditions.
If your tank’s nutrients is not too high at the moment, you may consider feeding amino acids, eg acropower or reef energy AB+, to speed up the process.

Had a chat with a few fellow reefers and they lamented that beautiful corals are very difficult to keep. But I feel that there are simple corals which are equally beautiful, so I’ve decided to take some close-ups of such corals:
1. Pipe organ coral - very interesting “soft corals” which also have a skeletal structure:
2. Cloves - can really take over the tank once it’s established. Heard from some reefers that FF cloves, however, is very sensitive and tends to “melt” in their tanks
3. Toadstool leather - will close up for a period of up to 1 week, during which some reefers have told me that they threw it away, thinking that it’s dead. But no, please do not do that. It’s actually natural for them to close up occasionally, during which they’ll look waxy/shiny.
4. Digitata - one of the easier sps one may try if they like the structure which such coral can build, to give your reef a more natural look. Pictured here is a true FF digitata, that has a green base. There has been some misIDs around, but a true FF digitata may still lose it’s green base due to non-optimal water/lighting conditions. I’d know that my water parameters is not on point if this coral doesn’t look too good - it’ll be the first to show. But it’s also hardy enough to bounce back once the conditions is back in order

Do you have a pic before it changed colour? Sps are known to change colour in different tanks, but ssc should still have its signature red/pink tip after colour change.
Also ssc should have very good PE, so probably something is nipping on it and hence stressing it, or the flow is insufficient
