I will be taking a little time to clean up the tank and equipment now, and will start Stage 3 soon. I have some remnants of Green Palys... These were with me since Day 0, when i was cycling the rocks. THey've grown into a huge colony and are extremely hardy and beautiful..... They are on a medium sized rock.... Not for bros/sis with 1 to 2 ft tanks.... Very nice. Offer me a price...

Hi everyone, Echoing some bros here who are de-comming, It is with a very very heavy heart that I am de-comming. However, with close to 80% travel required at in work in the last 1 year, it has been absolutely impossible to maintain, upkeep and continue to give my fish a good home. I want sell off everything at a very nominal price. I'm so out of the hobby, that I don't even know the prices anymore. Therefore, I am just going to go with what I feel are very reasonable prices. Hiya all.... haven't been updating for a very very long time. I've been really busy at work the past 8 months or so, and have not had much time to update on the time, nor really spend a lot of time with it. Apart form the regular cleaning of the glass, removal and cleaning of the protein skimmer collection cup, I've really not done much with the tank. BUT, it's been 1 year since I set up my tank, and I thought that I'd do a quick one year anniversary update on it. Of course, I cleaned up the front tank a little more so that is pristine.. But, here's the tank.... oh.. one more thing... as way of an experiment, I haven't performed any water change since February 2010. So, its been nine months since I last change the water.... Bro, nice new tank. Just a word of caution, though.... your sump is smaller than your main tank, and its almost full. Just be careful that your sump has enough water holding capacity in case of a power failure. If not, your floor will get flooded.

I know what you mean.... I have 2 Tunze 6150s and a Korala 5 in my tank.... they generate too much flow to put in softties, particularly bubbles and hammers, etc. I lost an entire hammer coral over the course of 2 months! Have stayed away from softies since. Most of my corals are now SPS frags. Am experimenting to see if I can manage them with minimal attention due to my heavy workload.... lets see... Paul

I currently have a whole bunch of bio balls in my sump as part of the initial setup. Tanks been around since Nov 09, and NO3 is kept at around below 10ppm. Of course, I also do have a Sulphur Denitrator, and now have just added 1 ltr of bio pallets. In place of biohome, I experimented with porous dead coral rocks I purchased from seaview in Jalan Kayu. I wonder if it works... Now, if I do change my bio balls, I think I will have to do it slowly so that I don't create an ammonia spike. Divinesloth, if you want to change your bio balls, suggest for you to do so before you put in any live stock...

Yeah, sure.. would love to catch up over kopi. Had wanted to pass you a brand new spare canister filter I bought last year for my fresh water tank, but never got to use. But, dun think you need one now, since you're going for a JBJ. By the way, yesterday I bought my cheapest fish from Ah Beng..... a $1 clown fish. Wa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha... can be done!

Dude... I think where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. I also give 60% of my pay to my wife to manage. You're not alone. I actually feel that this is a good arrangement.
