  1. comycus: dont mind pooling if this thing works. let me know $$$

Underwater: my pellets are dry and not from the fridge. given that my tank is enclosed, the air is pretty moist....

  2. Am currently using Juwel Automatic Feeder for day feedings. The PROBLEM is that the pellets would get moist after 1 day, clump up and cannot be fed to the fish.

Can someone recommend a good alternative other than humans?

    Thanks :)

  3. there's algae growing on the skeleton.

it probably had a mechanical injury thus, the exposed skeleton.

    algae grew on it

now the bubble will slowly die as the algae overgrows.

:( sob sob.... hoping for miracle then...

  4. Hi,

My bubble doesnt seem to be opening well.... Hv tried moving it to different places (high/low lights, high/low flowrate, ....). Dont think there's any problem with water parameters cos all other corals doing well.

    ANy ideas?

  5. Hi,

    Hoping to get some advice:

    a) Planning to have the following in the sump. Sequence:

    1) Biohome

    2) Skimmer

    3) Refugium

    4) Return pump

    any comments?

    B) Also what should be kept in the refugium?

so far I've read abt cheato algae (food for pods?), sand bed (is there a need to change them yearly?) and live rocks (do i need them when they are alrady in the main tank?). I want the refugium to 'absorb' nitrates and breed pods. So whats the best setup (if any)?

    Thks!!

  6. Hi,

Am setting up a new tank (48 inch x24 X30) and finding lots of information here (info overload ;P)

Can I get some advice on the following:

    1) Is there an optimal size and what should we have (filter, skimmer) in a slump?

    2) how do i decide the type of pump and flow rate required?

    3) How do I decide/ know if the level of calcium, salinity, iodine, nitrates etc is acceptable for my tank?

Planning to keep these: To much?

  7. Hi SM,

I'm new to marine tank and am thinking of incorporating a scrubber to my tank (48 inch x 24 x 30). Hope you can give me some guidance

    1) for the size of my tank, what should be the size of the scrubber?

    2) is there any difference if the screen is vertical (with water cascading down) Vs horizontal (immersed in water)

    3) Is there any recommended sequence in the slump? (e.g. scrubber first, filter then skimmer?)

    Thanks!!!
