  1. Has anyone used the relatively new All in One Biopellets for some time? It's supposed to be biopellets with phosphate remover baked in, so it has enhanced phosphate removal capabilities. However, to my knowledge, phosphate remover doesn't degrade the same way that biopellets do - phosphate remover gets exhausted and then has to be replaced. Hence, how does this new biopellet work? When the biopellet degrades, does the phosphate remover get sloughed off as dust particles into the tank? When the phosphate remover is exhausted, how does it get removed from the tank? Really curious on the theory behind this new product.
i read abt this sometime bck but seems like no one talks abt them.
  2. Hi where to buy peroxide

Do u need food grade type

after googling, u dun need high concentrate cos too pure n if high temp will explode(that's wat I read from internet)

I bought mine from guardian pharmacy small bottle $5+. Big bottle $7.80.

I used syringe to inject into the bubble algae, cyano n hair algae. Quite effective except hair algae cos u need find the roots n squirt the peroxide at the roots for more effective kill.

U will see bubbles like soda when u applied to rocks.

Your orp will drop. When I use about 30ml on my 150gallon, my orp dropped from 290+ to 230+.

I have a fire shrimp n no abnormal behavior. Fishes all ok. Maybe u like to start slow.

  3. Hi, anyone know what is the average water pressure for HDB blocks? I live on the 4th floor on a 16 floor HDB block. Want to buy a RO/DI unit from overseas but it has a maximum water pressure. Don't want to burst it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I live 14th, pressure at 40psi. My rodi from madpetz. Added a booster pump and at 105psi.
  4. Definitely! Your tank is very big. You should give it a try and update us the result. The only tell-tale signs are males are larger in size, and brighter in colours. There is another difference observed by a breeder that the ventral fins on the males are longer and do not have a sharp point while the female RG have shorter that ended in a sharp point. However this observation is not written in any literature and as such may not be fully credible but still it can be an interesting trait to consider while looking for a male royal gramma. Do update here if u or anybody else manage to find a male-female pair and verify if the above observation is true.
I have a mating pair in my tank. But dun know why one fish has some of its purple scales becomes white. Will try to take a pic. Really need strong eye power to differentiate the ventral fins difference. Not sure if it's the male or female tat builds the nest. Tat fellow will pick up algae and all sorts of debris to block up the nest. I got some of my seafans(I frag them and place every where in the tank to see which type of water flow the seafans prefer) which I glued to rocks but later found they end up at the nest. Will post pic tonite.
  5. Hey can you post a full tank shot and we will throw out some customized approach Skimmer is expected to increase skimmate output because peroxide will bring organics into suspension and out the tank faster than normal via skimming. In most of the cases they wanted to dose full tank, we saw easier ways to remove sections of treatable rock simply because treating the sections outside the tank allowed for a direct spot treat of the algae
Hi, I only have bubble algae n no hair algae. I can't take out my rocks as they are quite huge n fuse to each other. After trying out 3ml in my 150gal tank, I see a drop of 30+ on my orp. My orp never increase at all. I did a test of po4 & no3. No3 before dose. http://s160.photobucket.com/user/waterbottle_23/media/Mobile%20Uploads/DSC_1952_zpsjgr54zan.jpg.html'>DSC_1952_zpsjgr54zan.jpg No3 after dose. http://s160.photobucket.com/user/waterbottle_23/media/Mobile%20Uploads/DSC_1953_zpsifvhnldj.jpg.html'>DSC_1953_zpsifvhnldj.jpg Po4 before dose. http://s160.photobucket.com/user/waterbottle_23/media/Mobile%20Uploads/DSC_1951_zpsyrregceg.jpg.html'>DSC_1951_zpsyrregceg.jpg Po4 after dose http://s160.photobucket.com/user/waterbottle_23/media/Mobile%20Uploads/DSC_1950_zpssbm0ikwm.jpg.html'>DSC_1950_zpssbm0ikwm.jpg
  6. 如有雷同,純粹巧合 I think the sustainability of a hobby, it needs people to appreciate your hobby. For a hobbyist alone to enjoy the hobby himself, he needs to be really devoted to the hobby. One spend an atomic bomb buying all the fanciful names corals but no one really cares abt tat, puts a dent on the pride of the hobby, if the initial purpose of the reefer is to let pple be envy of his collections.
