  1. I have lots.. good for your tank size. Collection Jurong West St 65 if you dun mind.
  2. haha.. no choice. Its more energy efficient this way.. the chiller is running on a 700+ltr tank. Can chill but runs in too long.
  3. Live rocks for sale... dried up for months already. Size small to medium. Selling about $40-$50 per big red plastic bag.. Surely more that 40-50kg per bag.. Just want to clear off. Collection Jurong West St 65. Collection only.
  4. Selling Hailea HC-500A chiller This is fitted with an external temp controller/temp probe. Specs: Supports 500ltrs Required rate of flow: 3000ltrs/h Selling at $200 Collection Jurong West St 65.
  5. It should be on 24/7.. maybe you can run a external temp controller and place both the chiller and pump plugs in the controller. Not sure what implications it will have on the pump though, since they are usually not made for frequent on and off.
  6. Bacteria do not need light to propergate.. so you can place as much live rocks there. Non true Royal Gramma is called Brazillian Gramma.. they differ in build, colouration at the pink yellow intersection, eyes, etc... unless you got a royal dottyback You should try closing the hood if you want to keep firegobies.. Firegoby darts when stressed so there is possibility that they jump out.
  7. Hey LaW.. on the first page of this thread, second pic.. can see how my Aus Blacks look like before.. the face was really orange... Don't worry about yours.. it should turn black in time.. maybe when they are settled and bigger..
  8. Ok then I might know who and where.. Some of my rocks ported over from my previous tank is from Jem I believe. .. bought from him few years back. Ah you realised on the Aus Black colouration.. It just got darker and darker.. now its nice pitch black.. Then again most things that goes into my tank turns dark.. even for the shirtless clown. It was supposed to be brighter orange. Now its darker orange. Yeah Borb looks lonely but I just can't seem to make myself buy somemore.. I actually went back ML on his second shipment but.. the mind is strong but the wallet is weak.. hehe
  9. Having more live rocks is always good but then again how much 'real estate' do you have on the 1ft? Try to hav emore but not too much till in the end only see rocks. I think gobies in general are not aggressive. Don't get twin spotted as even in a stable tank, they just get thinner and thinner everyday. Other faster working gobies, eg diamond head, are too messy.. they sprinkle sand all over and therefore rescape the landscape constantly. IMO not very good if you have corals.
  10. hmm.. nice meh? Growing cheatos in main tank?!.. Whats red microalgae? Is it red bamboo algae? Dunno about Caulerpa algae. Isn't it risky? One day water not right, it goes asexual and wipes out LSs.
  11. hehe.. cute fella. I like its large eyes.. loner but very bold fish. Funny is initially my other anthias were checking it out although they are of different species. Maybe they are wondering what freak anthia species it is.. haha
  12. The horses.. .. To tell the truth I have no idea what they are feeding on till now.. Its close to their 3rd month already. Maybe on sexy shrimps...
  13. The 3 Mrs.. .. Into 2nd month alive and kicking.. Still not as bold as the male..
  14. Resident Purple queen.. errm.. why do they call them queen when there are males?..hmm.. Its an Alpha Male.. been with me for maybe 2yrs..
  15. Yes there are. started using one. No brand but recommended by a LFS. Supposed to be bacteria in cryopreserved state.
  16. haha.. like it bl**dy matters where his cheato is from.. But it really seems no one is willing to sell cheatos these days. When I was looking for it, its like even more rare then Achilles tangs. And if you ever find one LFS that have them, its usually not for sale. I know of Iwana selling them but also might not have constant stock.
  17. Can't remember.. or didn't even bother to remember coz to me the black head ones quite ugly.
  18. And thats the yellow head.. the blue spotted was around $200+ last I asked. Even if its not that ex now also must be close to $200 pricing. Its a really nice fish though. There are cheaper species.. think the black head ones are cheaper but not nice.
