am using a canister filther. have some bio balls and ceramics. will see how it goes. true., u need trickle system. experts out there, should i put bio balls in a canister filther?

consider bio balls. they have vast surface areas for bacteria to grow. and also u might want to get coarse filther material. usually blackish brown in colour. Ehiem's one is blue. they are very good for cultivaitng bacteria growth on them.

am also game for the idea for decals!!! but a point of consideration, not cheap. ever did check prices out. one piece (3 colours, rectangle) about $4 for 100 pieces. 200 pieces would be $3.50. so on and so forth. not too sure but pricing is along this line. jio more people to buy!!! tell SRC members that not only can stick on cars, but can stick on windows, fridge, any smooth surface areas. that could only be done if no words printed. so meaning it would be like mirror image if stuck onto a non see-tru surface. my 2 cents worth. I have a white sea fan, should it be the same principles to open it up?

thanks deepblue. the thing is its growing to far to the left of my tank resulting in rubbing and bending to accomodate the side of my tank. so how? dun want to relocate it. no space..

hey people. i have a white sea fan and its doing quite well in my tank. it has grown to one end of my tank and start to grow along the side of the tank. however its not doing to well at the side. i think this is due to space constraint to the left of my tank. can i cut / trim my sea fan?

hi golf, did u catch yours overnight? do these crabs nibble at corals?

have a hairy crab in my tank for the past 2 weeks and it has grown. what sort of nonsense do they do they are larger have 2 cleaner shrimps. would they be at harms way? so, before the crab can create havoc by employing terrorist hit and run tactics, i want to catch it and DESTROY!!! what are the tricks of this trade?

regarding the sanders picollo, the design is more or less the same as the cheap ones. whats the diff? interested in getting that.

how does weipro look like. any pics? am using the AA brand (hongkong). dun get coffee. only maybe like sugaracne dilute in water. what colour should the waste be with good skimers?

go for the cheap ones from hongkong. shouldn't be paying more then $14 for it. you'll see it at LFS using it for their tanks.

to clarify, its the common clown.

My clown is back to its depressed mode of wobbling around... cause he's mate just died today!!! wah kaoz.. the buddy was around for 4 days only. and stopped eating yesterday. sad case man... its fins was pale and all and stayed stationary in mid tank level. came back from dinner and... . will go and get my clown a buddy tomorroww. sobsob... does anyone have any ideas to his dimise? maybe sick fish from the LFS. didn't choose properly. but thought these guys are quite hardy.

guess what??!??! bought another percula clown today. once i placed the bag in the water for aclimatisation, the lonely one came forward to inspect it. once i released the clown, they were as if taking a tour around my tank. WHOOoOOoHOOoooo thank you everyone for your comments.

am using an ehiem ecco. cannister filther. what...? my clown will die? goodness... been reading a few books at shops, said that percula clowns and most other clowns are similiarly hardy. how now....should i get the guy a companion or wait for the inevitable?
