Reviving this thread instead of creating a new one. For reefers who are using AI VEGA color LED and keeping SPS, what are your light settings? I am asking this because it cannot seem to reveal the true Purple/violet colors of my SPS with my current setting. Is anyone noticing the same? Can you share your setting that show the true purple/violet color of your SPS? To solve this, Im thinking of ordering the upgrade power pucks to have violet, UV, , deep blue, royal blue and warm or neutral white and eliminate red and green. Does anyone have any experience with the upgrade pucks? How did it change the color of your tank/SPS? Thank you to all who will be able to contribute to this query.

Thanks. I have a 5-foot long tank. I held off buying the wp-40 coz i know its too strong and too bulky for my taste. Im thinking it's going to be just right for my tank size since im planning to add more sps soon. I also saw the new controller posted in a us forum with speed control already so i hope it will be available in singapore soon.

Im planning to add more flow in my tank and would want to try two Jebao wp-25. Does anybody have any idea where to buy this in Sing and for how much? I learned that the controller has been improved and now has speed control.

Im also on the FM camp now lol. What attracted me specially to the color elements is what is written in the description that the product was developed using corals in LED lit environmental conditions which is good for my led lit tank if at all there's any truth to it. I've been dosing reef vitality, color elements and ultra amin for almost 3 weeks now but has not seen significant color recovery. Im dosing the color elements twice a week in between reef vitality dosing. I know it's too soon to expect improvements but im positive im gettig there.

I have used Dr. G's medicated food with great success. I still feed them Dr. G from time to time although they have no sign of Ich already rather than let the food spoil and throw away. Some fish don't mind the taste i.e., my clowns but the others i.e., purple tang, wrasse and anthias don't like it that's why I mix it with other food and soak it in garlic juice and HUFA first to camouflage the taste of the medicine.

In case there is high nutrients to begin with, reef-resh is effective but in jquek's case, it's counter intuitive since before starting with reefresh and with just using rowa, he's nutrients are undetectable but now he has to again use rowa to go back to undetectable nutrient levels. rowa is expensive, and like me im looking for a way to stop using GFO in general that's why i tried polyplab reefresh. you are spot on the two other products you mentioned. though the reef-resh system does not employ an adsorber in its package and just relies on efficient skimming, i still believe that ULNS can still be achieved just by efficient skimming and by tweaking the dosage a bit. it's just a pitty that there is almost no other forum containing current information on the product, problems discussed and solved or discussions to help and guide users unlike the other two products. I'm almost finished with my first package and i could say that i was able to achieve low nutrient levels that i have not achieved before using other nutrient reduction method albeit not undetectable levels and not in a constant manner since my PO4 level still swings from time to time that is why I will soon try solid carbon dosing method and see if i will be successful on my goal. Otherwise, I just might go back to Reef-resh.

isn't using rowaphos counter intuitive as reefresh is supposed to bring the nutrients down to ULNS level? if reefresh cannot pull phosphates down to 0 - 0.01ppm levels there must be something wrong with the dosing which btw i find too simplistic based on the instructions. i just hope there's a thread similar to what zeo users have to ask questions on dosing, provide guidance and exchange experiences in using the product.

the weather effect is a cool feature specially the storm but i seldom activate it coz it messes up the moon cycle of my Tunze wave maker. I do not use the vegas for moonlight as i find them too strong and my fishes have gotten really used to the tunze moon light already. btw, did you notice that the new firmware is now ready for the upgrade pucks even though the new pucks are not yet available? i wonder when are they going to be available? i know from Ai website that the vega upgrade for sol is now available for pre-order so the new pucks might be following soon as well as the director.

hi bro, for a 1 foot deep tank i don't see any issue having the vega at 8" height. my tank is 20" deep with the vega 8" AWL with no problems. some users even set it higher than 8". are you now running the latest firmware?

Mu current setting in manual mode is 95% DB, 95% RB, 90% B, 60% CW, 65% for both DR and green. Ramp up and down is average 3hours since each color is set to ramp up and down within a few mins from each other. Height is 8inches from the water surface. If you have sps or just switched from t5 to led, i suggest to use the coral acclimation function and set it for 2 months to avoid bleaching. Im an early adaptor of the vega so ive had them since they first came out in the us. So far so good for me. Good luck.

this also happens to me to both wild and cultured zoas the thing that puzzles me is the other zoas are growing like weeds which have already encrusted in the LR.

wow! that is quite fast. hope your sps don't suffer. how about reducing the amount of rowa in your FR? maybe it'll help.

how often do you feed with the roids? do you turn your return, skimmer and WM off; for how long? do you broadcast feed?

thanks for your updates bro mengyang_neo. just to share, the lowest PO4 i have gone down to is 0.02ppm only but this is not conclusive as i think my rocks and sand are still leaking out nutrients. with your current system without rowa, what is the lowest PO4 level you have achieved? i have been contemplating on zeo additives i.e. B balance, pohl's extra and vitalizer. is there a huge improvement in colors when you used the polyplab reef roids?

bro mengyang_neo, im sorry for the confusion on the last part of my post. what i meant is genesis is 5 drops and fuel is at 2.5ml. i wrongfully interchanged the two. anyway, i have cut the dosage of the fuel by half starting today and will monitor if there would be any improvement within a week. also, how much of the plus have you added to daily dosing to counter the paleness of sps colors? is adding 1 more drop to make it 6 in total enough to regain more vibrant coloration? thanks for the reply.

Forgot to mention that my phosphate is at 0.025ppm as per hanna phosphorus tester yesterday

Hi bros, I have been on the system for a few months already. I recently noticed GHA bloom in my tank specially on the sand bed and zoas placed in the sand. I've been following the dosage religiously : reef and genesis during lights on and acids and plus +/- 1hour after lights off also skimmer off overnight and turns back on at 8:00am. 1 drop per 25g; 5 drops of reef, acids and plus and 2.5ml of genesis daily. My water parameters are: salinity - 1.026, ca- 420, alk - 8, mg 1400 (on a doser), temp bet. 26.6 to 27.2 celcius. Funny thing is before i started with the reefresh i didn't have this GHA issue. What could be causing this, could it be the genesis? Should i reduce it by half at the moment? Any thoughts? Thanks.
