Forgot to share, a Gopro camera is an extreme adverse weather compact camera that can be mounted anywhere. It is very popular for extreme sports and divers espesically.
This is also very useful for reefers who like to film their tank underwater or get closeups of their beautiful spses!

That's unfortunate bro. I have learnt such a lesson before, but with a reef lobster.
-
wow i ddint know clownfish have sooo many weird looking species!
-
tangs in general are prone to ich but some are hardier. blue tangs generally don't get ich easily. powder blue tang on the other hand is a different story
.
look for a healthy specimen, in shops observe their swimming patterns, you can see which ones are swimming well and eating well (ask the lfs to feed or sometimes if the tank has red algae, it will peck on it. look at their general complexion, bright blue will be best, some have paler coloration, this tells you that the fish is in a highly stressed environment.
best if you get from reefer instead since their usually very tame and feeding pellets.

I always thought that was a serpent star

After close to 3 months, I have yet to notice a reduction in nitrates. Sure enough I am lowering it with chemicals and additives but it seems to have reached a 'saturation point'. I am running biopellets and so far, the nitrates are still considered high. My tank has been fishless for more than a month since.

DIYed a small plastic food container using loctite
Remember to check your sockets once in while for rust or exposed wires. One can never be too careful when dealing with electricity and water!

Is yours located near a window?, I have red slime coming out every few weeks on the sands where the sun is most strongest in the morning. I'm thinking of getting a sea cucumber to sift my sands every now and then. My rocks are still leeching nitrates after weeks of combating it.

Looks harmless. My previous tank was infested with these citters!

Hi
wts 3x Hero 2 batteries including the charger bacpack for 150$. pm.me for.contact.
All used once for checking, (according to previous owner 2 of them not used before, one still has the cardboard casing).Reason for selling; Accidentally bought a faulty gopro hero2 camera (from another seller in another forum board) that came with the package. selling off the rest of the package cuz decided to go for hero 3 instead as the accessories are not compatible.
The serial number at the back of the camera denotes that it was manufactured in Nov 2012 so I am guessing the rest of the package should be less than a year old. this was confirmed by previous owner and gopro representative online.

PBT is truly ick susceptible, mine was eating well and stable Give it a few eeeks, if you stock alot, make sure to acclimate each fish, the stress sensitivity is very high.on pbt even when it is stable. Lost 2 PBTs already on 2 separate occasions, both through ich.

Nice! What was your total startup cost? Discounting what you reuse ofc.

Vrry common hitchhikers

Clowns benefit from a special layer around their body that anemone wont recognise as food. Belive me, once your clown is sick or dying, the anemone will still eat it like any other fish. I have witness before in my own tank.

Hi i am looking to buy...dont have livestock to trade..how much u ar selling? im assuming its used?
-
If they are breeding on your wool, they should be breeding even more elsewhere. It might be that youll kill them from washing but rmb that they breed exponentially

This was at theside of my prawn goby. Sorry for theunclear picture. I need to use the zoom function or the fish would dart away. Is this velvet? I recently got this on my fusty angel but he miraculously recovered. So im not sure if this is velvet lr not. Its the only fish affected so far but its still eating and swimming. Its impossible to catch this guy though.

I love to see sharks swim. Everytime i go to cf, wouldnstare at them in fascination. Too bad i cant house a tank big enough to buy the,.
.
-
Thats very unfortunate. Chromis are known to be agile swimmers, and gullible eaters. I have one before who would 'standby' whenever i walk around the tank. Theyll just zip around the tank where food is concern. The most kiasu fish i had lol.I just got it... Not very big!! -
Did u feed ur anemone?

Cheap leds does not meet the required spectrum for maintaining lps. Look for higher end ones like ecoxotic PAR38 or maxspect series for beginners, its affordable and even cheaper second hand.
-
Lookslike algae...the bad kind
-
3 kinds of lighting. T5 or led or MH This is not only for lps...infact its for sps too and all other photosynthetic marine line. That also includes all algae. T5 is cheaper than led in the initial cost but will have to incur maintenance cost in the form of bulb changingbevery 6 to 9 months due to decay. More spectrumnincluding UV and spread is good. Also uses more electricity. Generates heat but if placed high enough or running with a decent chiller will be okay. They rarely come with auto timers and programmable dimmers. LED is expensive in the initial cost, but little to no maintenance. Electricity use depends on model and size. Generates heat but if placed high enough or running with decent chiller should be okay. Comes with auto timers usually, cheaper ones u get from lfs dont come with it. Higher end ones even comes with programmable dimmers. Metal halides i dont have alot of experience with it, but i know it generates massive amounts of heat and electricity. Not recommended for lps as they dont need super bright lights.
no ammonia will bacteria die?

To answer your question, technically speaking, yes as ammonia is a source of food for bacteria to turn into nitrites which then turn into nitrates..
