I think the red scarlet hermit is an oppurtunist predator that eats fish when they are in torpid mode (sleeping). I try find the link and post here.

I saw some wormlike critters in my tank at 3am when it is total darkness.. Even under red light, the bugger retracts quickly in the sand.. I cannot ID it.. I have episodes of small fishes dissapearing without a trace.. I suspect this is the culprit..
