    How do you cope with algae?

    I am having the same problem on my nano. Does algone work?
    Algone does not work instantly my nitrate even running chaeto was crazy like close to 100ppm unless I really misused the no3 test kit and take the reading wrongly. But after using 6 weeks, my no3 drop to 25 ppm can see that my display tank has lesser brown algae, no more red slime algae on my sand and diatom on my LR. But I still get green algae at the bottom of my tank and magnet cleaner is difficult and useless to scrub off.

    or run rowaphos in a TLF 150 reactor, whats ur po4 level?

    nice tank and great choice of light anyway!

    Never measure po4, no3 is around 25ppm. My main problem I guess is also because of these fishes:

    1 x blue tang

    1 x yellow tang

    1 x purple tang

    1 x brown tang

    1 x blue throat trigger

    These guys ate too much & I give away 1 fox face to reduce bio load.

    Algae benny, star fishes, sea urchin lah all eat algae..if not use algae turf scrubber, a "algae garden" 2 eat up all de nutrients b4 de algae can get them thus stopping algae growth. Right now my sump is full of fine grass algae n display tank is quite clean!

    My sump full of grass algae, red bamboo, chaeto and using algone from madpetz, but my main tank bottom still have patches of green algae but my sand n LR dun have diatom or algae...

    Hi, for your BM NAC QQ skimmer, will your fish been suck to the inlet of the skimmer? I just had a BM NAC 3.5 and going to put it together with my fishes in a 2 feet tank and not sure whether i need to do some prevention.

    Same issue! I had a gonio for 3 days...only extending its head, body not out. Its a long tentacle branching type. Its in a high flow area thou. So low flow is key? everything else in tank is doing fine...

    I have one for 3 months currently and after the first 2 months the tentacles do not extend also and due to calcium too low and after i started manual dosing of calcium, my gonio starts extending the tentacles. My water flow is moderately high and I am using Maxspect Razor LED...

    Ah beng just arrived Bali shipment.

    fishes : blue tangs, normal clowns, true percs, koran, juv blue face, emperor (L), YT (S/M), flame angel, flame hawk, bi-colours and many more......

    shrimps : skunk , camel, sexy and boxers

    corals : anemone (various colours), true octo, bubbles, cynarina, sun corals, monti, seafan, mushrooms (blue and red), torch, etc

    Any wrasse or peppermint shrimps? Thanks.
