It's recommended to start off with smaller tank like 2ft until u confirm will venture into saltwater. Tank above 3ft is better with proper marine system else you will waste a lot of $$$$ by then u want to upgrade. Freshwater n saltwater set up is totally different as it's more demanding. Read more before decide.

Convert my freshwater tank to marine. Need advice on the list. List: Tank - 2ftx1.5ftx1.5ft Sump - 2ftx1ftx1ft (DIY) Overflow - DIY Return Pump - JEBAO DC-3000 ECO Chiller - Arctica 1/10hp - Use return pump Light - Maxspect razor 120W 16K Skimmer - Not decide Plan to share the return pump with chiller. Now still can't decide the return pump and skimmer. Should I upgrade to Jebao DC-5000 and what skimmer better?

Some update after a while.

Sg 1.04. After hyper dip, it took me 2 week to cure the LR.

After hyper dip LR, keep 2~3 days out of tank and check for ammonia spike. Mine spike on day 2 from 0.25 to 4. Lucky didnt put back tank after dip.

Maybe can try take out the LR and use brush to take out the algae. If cant then consider dry out the LR cause it take quite a long time make it live again.

Happy reefing. Time to upgrade a bigger tank for that emperor.
