I decided to restart one of my old tanks, and the moment I switched on the pump, this huge amount of dirt and rotten egg smelling water came out from the return pump. It was strange because I never knew there was residue water left in the pump! Same goes for the chiller. Any advice on how to prevent this from happening? I am planning to use aeration to remove the hydrogen sulphide, but are there other aquarium products that are good?

I'm currently using microbe lift gravel and substrate cleaner. Can't say that I am very impressed with the result. Not sure if anyone has positive reviews of this product, or can recommend other products.

Everytime I change gfo in my phosphate reactor, it will release lots of the brown iron oxide powder all over the tank which makes my water cloudy and not to mention unsightly. This also dirties up the filter wool really fast. My question is whether this is harmful to fish and corals (never personally had a problem). Anybody has solutions to this unsightly situation?

The white morph is so hardy it needs no maintenance! Ah so meaning a blue sps can turn green or something in a different environment?

Is there any distinct advantage and are certain colour morphs restricted to certain locations or are they just mutants that are selectively bred? Can sps change colour apart from browning out of course.
