  1. Achilles, I would gladly trade frags with you any day The cardinals are pretty hard to get here also. I saw them in my LFS for the first time ever so I figured they must be rare, and they're pretty cool looking so I bought them. Besides the cards, I only have a clown and a lawnmower blenny. I wanted to keep a low bioload so choosing the "perfect" fish was very important for me Danano, thanks for the kind words. I don't know of a feasible way to ship live coral from Ny to Singapore...shipping costs are too high! BTW how's that purple Humilis doing? I love that piece. Hope mine colors up as nicely. Eric, I keep my Vho's on for 12hrs daily and halides on for 7 1/2 hrs daily. I upgraded from mogul based 250w halides 2 months ago and I am still slowly increasing my photoperiod to 8hrs of halide lighting. I have noticed that 1/2 hr jump per day makes a BIG difference. Too fast of a photo increase and my colors start to fade etc.....
  2. It what way is it different? Do you mean the corals? or setup...etc...???
  3. Here is an acro colony that I saved from my LFS. It was in pretty bad shape (RTN on the base) when I bought it for a discounted price . It has since turned pink with green polyps. The pic is about 2 months old so the pink color is just starting to show. And.....I think that's about it for the pics It's really cool thats we can share pics of our reefs from across the globe Rich
  4. "blue" polyp montipora digitata frag. Actually more of a purple polyp
  5. Thanks deepBlue To mount the frags on the glass and overflowbox I use a cyanoacrylate based glue (thick gel). Sells under many different names and brands over here. Here is a pic of an Acropora Saramentosa colony that I snapped a shot of while changing location in my reef
  6. Dispar. If you ever make it to the states, the frag is yours
  7. Dispar. If you ever make it to the states, the fags is yours
  8. Thanks Lightning strike. If you can make it over to New York, I'll gladly trade you some frags Hey, can you see the whole first full tank pic? I posted the pic too large and cant seem to scroll over far enough to edit it? Rich
  9. My reef is 65gals with 30gal sump/refugium. Lighting is 2x250 pfo mini pendants with 10k ab bulbs and 2x 95w URI vho actinics. Flow is provided by a Mag 9.5 + 2 ph's. Carbon + phosban is used 24/7 along with a geo reactor to maintain cal and alk. Anyway, I pride myself on buying poor looking browned-out corals that show a bit of potential such as a faint blue or purple tip, green polyps etc... Sometimes I I get some gems , other times I'm left with a miserable looking chocolate sticks . Here's the pics.....
  10. Nice Aquascaping!!!! Do you have any full tank shots?
  11. Achilles, That is just beautiful! Your tank is amazing...... How long has it been setup? You're lucky you don't live in the states or you would have hundreds of guys banging at your door, begging for frags...especially since you seem to have corals breaking the surface of the water. Rich
  12. Very Nice!!!!! How about some specs?
  13. I never saw pics so close Unbelievable!!! I would love to see a red bug infested frag that close
  14. Well said. I guess that should be more than enough reason alone. Thanks for the replies guys
