once you have the required measurement and obviously the design, suggest you go walking/driving around eunos industrial park. there are many woodmaking/carpentry shops there.
  5. hi, can anyone lend me a bettabox to trap the dottyback ? thanks in advance.
  6. i believe it has to do with the carbon addition. recently i added seach*m carbon, and within days, i lost a three branch hammer. also lost a cauliflower. all others still doing okay.
  7. other than using fishes and/or invertebrates, are there any chemicals that can be used to retard or eradicate the growth ?
  8. aiyah, so chimm for me leh. can help with some simple layman terms. would also be helpful if can point to some link. thanks for the quick response. (seems like ppl staying around haig road likes to sleep late)
  9. second pic. hope i have resized it smaller. please accept my apologies.
  10. someone pls help me, what's the green plant-like growth on the rocks ? they are growing in quite a few places in the tank. pics attached. are they good ? (which i doubt) what causes them to grow and how to stop the growth. any other comments most welcome. thanks.
  11. i believe there is a blockage caused by the rowas at the mouth of the inlet tube at the bottom of the fluidized reactor. go here to read up: http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?...pic=21372&st=15
  12. since u topping up due evaporation, then quantity must be quite small. hence, believe straight top up with tap water is okay, at least that's what i have been doing. my $0.02
  13. can lend me your betta box ? same frustration trying to catch my bicolour dottyback who is attacking almost everyone within striking distance.
  14. looks like you doing okay with the macros. need your advice. i'm using macro asp150 needlewheel. skimmate is watery. have adjusted to the max (or min, depending on how you classify) and still gets watery skim. if adjust the other way round, will get a fountain overflow. water level in the sump when skimmer is placed is quite low. so, what do you think is wrong.
  15. two pieces live rock already given away. thanks to those who expressed interest. thread closed.
  16. i just cannot remember when and how, but after adding such stuff as magnesium, strontium and iodide, the zoos start to open up.
  17. i supposed blue tack has an oil base. may affect your skimmer.
  18. someone ahead of you. will let you know if he backs out, and you can have the two pieces of live rocks for free. thanks anyway for the offer of bicolor angel, but afraid it will tock my corals. have sent you a pm on my contact number, just in case.
  19. here's pic of my fibre glass pond. make me a cheap and reasonable offer.
  20. those who wanted have not collected yet. so re-posting with pics. if can collect this weekend, get preference.
  21. Creetin, if the rubber band method don't work, try to pour or dip the cover in quite warm water. i use the term "quite warm water" instead of boiling water for fear that it may crack the plastic. so do be careful.
